Belfast rockers Echo Raptors @ Kelly’s

BELFAST HAS had a long and proud record of producing raucous rock’n’roll and r’n’b back to the time of Van Morrison’s Them in the 1960s. Carrying on that tradition are Echo Raptors who play Kelly’s Bar, Bridge Street this Saturday.

As a mark of the respect they command, Terri Hooley, the man who signed The Undertones and nurtured the Northern Irish punk scene, asked them to play at the relaunch of his Good Vibrations record store. The Belfast band - Philip Rainey (vocals/guitar ), Emmett Stewart (drums ), Vince Caddell (lead guitar ), Owen Duffy (bass ) - enjoyed critical acclaim for their EP, She’s So Free with Encore NI saying they “have the ability to make you start believing in rock and roll again”.
