FOLLOWING THE release of the new single ‘Falling Debris’, Limerick quintet Fox Jaw are coming to Galway to play Strange Brew at the Róisín Dub this Thursday from 9pm.
The band, originally known as Fox Jaw Bounty Hunters, took a year off to write, record, and hone (as well as shorten their name ) the music that would become their second album, Ghost’s Parade, released in September, and from which ‘Falling Debris’, is the third single.
Fox Jaw - Ronan Mitchell (vocals/guitar/piano ), Morgan Nolan (guitar/vocals/keys ), Shane Serrano (drums/clarinet ), Manolis Sheehan (guitar/vocals/keys ), Kieran J Sims (bass/vocals ) - have been described by Nialler9 as a “majestic full-band rock with a distinct Irish touch”.
The Last Mixed Tape praised their “unique alternative-rock and pop sensibilities”, while Hotpress called them “a feast for the ears. Dark, moody, and slightly schizophrenic”. Goldenplec.com called them “a swampy, blues-tinged foot-stomper swaggering with machismo”.
Support is from Acrobat and Dear Desert. Admission is free. See www.foxjaw.ie
