SEVENTIES JAZZ-funk fusion, dance grooves, fiery improvisation, and irresistible pop hooks are on the cards when Earthship touch down at The Cellar.
Earthship play The Cellar tomorrow, for the venue’s Halloween night fancy dress party from 9pm. There will be a €100 prize for best dressed, plus vouchers and spot prizes.
Earthship - Karl Clews (bass ), Mark Farrelly (keyboards ), Eoghan Judge (guitar ), Bart Kiely (drums ), and Paula Higgins (vocals ) - draw on the influence of Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, Weather Report, and Return To Forever, but with a very definite pop/rock slant, as heard on their latest EP, Proximity Effect, released in July 2014.
The band have also played the Cork Jazz Festival, Electric Picnic, and Body & Soul.
