The DS brand - a breakaway from the mainline Citroen marque - is making its debut at the 2014 Paris Motor Show.
Officially created on June 1, DS says its clear-cut ambition is to return the French automotive industry to the ranks of the premium carmakers.
DS is to present two concept cars at Paris, the Divine DS and DS 3 Ines De La Fressange Paris concept, which it says, will herald the future of the brand. DS will also show its latest production models, DS 3 and DS 3 Cabrio with its new front light signature, as well as a range of new connected services. DS says its stand is designed to immerse visitors in the DS universe, which is characterised by a distinctive blend of refinement, technology and elegance.
The Divine DS concept represents a manifesto of style that embodies the essence of the brand and its future.
A four-door compact car, it features sleek, powerful styling accentuated with striking graphic signatures. Along with a distinctive exterior, the carmaker says the Divine DS has an original interior that reflects the avant-garde spirit and sophistication of the brand, and a new philosophy for personalisation named ‘hyper-typage’. This approach offers three interchangeable interior trims, each with a unique and compelling character. The Divine DS underlines the brand’s aim of offering customers cars that directly reflect their personalities.
The DS Styling Centre and the Ines de La Fressange Paris fashion house have joined forces to develop two attractive concepts, one based on DS 3, the other on DS 3 Cabrio. With these two concepts, DS meets the world of fashion, resulting in a striking array of graphics, materials and colours. Both feature strong styling, designed for the chic, audacious and independent Parisian woman with a taste for elegance, sophistication and modernity.
The two unique cars differ first and foremost in their bodywork colours. Both versions are fitted with 17-inch ‘Aphrodite’ diamond-cut alloy wheels that add a dynamic touch to the styling.
Designed to showcase the new DS 3 light signature, both versions also feature exclusive ‘Ines Red’ door mirrors. The DS 3 version also gains a range of personalisation features.
The DS 3 and DS 3 Cabrio Ines de La Fressange Paris share the same interior, featuring the same three emblematic colours. The emphasis is on personalisation and customisation.
