A BUSKING and YouTube sensation long before they even approached a record company, Irish folk-pop duo Hudson Taylor have announced a nationwide tour in 2015, taking in Galway.
The band - centred on brothers Harry and Alfie Hudson-Taylor - play the Róisín Dubh on February 23 at 9pm, with tickets going on sale on Friday October 3 at 9am. That same day sees the release of their new single ‘Chasing Rubies’ through Polydor.
An acoustic version of the track has already been streamed more than one million times on Spotify, reached one million YouTube views, and is a firm live favourite. The song has recently been added to the BBC Radio One playlist, and become Huw Stephens' ‘Hottest Record’. There was further success for the band on the live front throughout 2014 with a show at London’s Electric Ballroom - Hudson Taylor's biggest headline show to date - as well as performances at Longitude, Glastonbury, and T in the Park. They will be supporting Jake Bugg in October.The band’s EPs - Osea (2013 ) and Cinematic Lifestyle (2012 ) - have now sold more than 30,000 copies and they have had some six million views on Youtube. They are currently finishing their debut album, set for release early next year.
