SHAKESPEARE’S TRAGIC drama of jealousy, racism, and betrayal, Othello, and the Máiréad Ní Ghráda’s An Triail are to be staged by Fíbín Theatre Company.
As part of a national tour, Fíbín will present this double-bill of the Leaving Certificate English and Irish curriculum plays in An Taibhdhearc, from October 6 to 10 at 10.30am and 12.30pm.
“We are really excited to be presenting these works together,” said Fíbín managing director Darach Ó Tuairisg, “and to be creating a theatrical event for students that will support their studies of the plays themselves while giving them an insight into how theatre is made.”
The cast is Gráinne Bleasdale, Morgan Cooke, Kate Finegan, Eoin Geoghegan. The director of An Triail is Brendan Murray, while Rod Goodall directs Othello.
