O’Donnellan & Joyce auctioneers has announced its forthcoming all day property auction, which will take place on October 3. According to Colm O’Donnellan of O’Donnellan & Joyce this will be the last opportunity, prior to the next budget, for investors to avail of tax incentives which were introduced two years ago.
The incentive allows a purchaser to buy a property, hold it for seven years, and sell it without being liable for capital gains tax; this has been a huge driver on the market, particularly for the purchase of investment properties, and it is likely coming to an end in the next budget.
O’Donnellan & Joyce’s October auction will offer a great opportunity for sellers to dispose of their properties, and for investors clambering for opportunities to acquire properties prior to the budget.
O’Donnellan & Joyce’s property auctions are held in the Harbour Hotel. Colm O’Donnellan explained that each property is marketed intensively prior to the auction date, on local and national media as well as major national and international websites. In conjunction with O’Donnellan & Joyce’s intense marketing campaign, property is available to the public for open viewing twice a week, and for private viewing if required. All other properties are available for viewing seven days a week, and purchasers have the opportunity to inspect the properties on several occasions. O’Donnellan & Joyce’s auctions are now recognised both locally and throughout the country and are known internationally as they can be viewed live anywhere in the world. The last auction saw a number of overseas clients from Australia, Dubai, and Canada bidding intensely for the properties.
If you have an interest in placing your property up for auction and wish to get assessed, which is free of charge, contact the auction team at O’Donnellan & Joyce at 091 564212 prior to August 27.
