SKA WILL be the order of the day when seven-piece outfit Big Jelly take to the stage of Kelly’s Bar, Bridge Street, tomorrow [Thursday August 7] for the next Musical Soup night.
Big Jelly, featuring members of local bands Mikey & the Scallywags, My Fellow Sponges, and The Timbertramps, boasts a horn section atop the infectious ska grooves of their rhythm section.
Also playing are Rick Harris, his son Cian Harris, and Jenny O'Brien, Shane O’Malley, and Bill Dunn, who will perform a set of music by the Allman Brothers Band.
To finish, Big Jelly and Rick Harris and friends will join forces for a musical improv, along with some special guests. Doors are at 9pm. Admission is €5.
