After 26 years of employment, Nestor’s SuperValu on Fr Griffin Road has bid farewell to Ann Folan, one of the store’s longest serving employees. Ms Folan, who is a Claddagh native, has been a staff member since the store first opened and over the years had become an integral part of the team.
Gavin Walsh, store manager of Nestor’s SuperValu, Fr Griffin Road, said: “Needless to say both the customers and team members alike will greatly miss Ann.
She has always been an exemplary employee, supportive of her colleagues, and has a friendly word of greeting for everyone she meets.”
A special presentation was made in-store to Ann on her final day by Tom Nestor, director of the Nestor’s SuperValu Group, thanking Ann for her loyal service for almost three decades.
Customers and friends attended the celebrations to wish Ann the very best of luck in her retirement.
Working in the same place of employment for 26 years is certainly a rarity but a testament to the working environment created by the Nestor’s SuperValu Group - a family owned supermarket, with additional branches located in Ballybane and Oranmore.
