Ballinasloe-based author Nuala Ní Chonchúir will read from her second novel, The Closet of Savage Mementos, tomorrow at 2pm at the Bridge Mills as part of the Galway Fringe Festival.
The book, which has recently been published by New Island Books, was launched in Dublin’s Gutter Bookshop in April. Since then, Ní Chonchúir has travelled to Italy on the Italo-Irish Literature Exchange, the West Cork Literary Festival, and at the International Short Story Conference in Vienna promoting the novel.
“I has been a whirlwind, so it’s lovely to be home in Galway for a bit,” said Ní Chonchúir. “I am treating this event in Bridge Mills as the Galway launch for the book. I’ll be signing copies of the book after the reading and all are welcome to come along.”
