Bag of Weirdos tonight in Busker Brownes

TONIGHT SEES the final performance of comedy improve troupe The Leg Breakers’ The Bag of Weirdos, upstairs in Busker Brownes.

The Leg Breakers are Galway’s newest improv troupe. Most of the members met at NUIG Dramsoc’s Staged and Confused nights and, after rehearsing over the winter, formed as The Leg Breakers especially for the Galway Fringe Festival. The Bag of Weirdos is part of the Fringe programme.

The group is Darragh O’Brien, Oisin Hanlon, Lynelle Colleran, Michael Joyce, Daniel Gallan, and Conor Geoghegan and they have ambitions to continue as a troupe performing around the country in the months ahead.

The Bag of Weirdos has been running from Monday to Thursday over both weeks of the Fringe to large attendances and enthusiastic audience responses. Each night commences with a stand-up session featuring Oisín Hanlon plus guest comedians - Ger Staunton, Danny Ryan and Steve Bennett. At the time of going to press it was understood Staunton would be the guest comic on tonight’s bill.

After the stand-up there is improvisation in which The Leg Breakers zip through an arsenal of games, audience participation, and a serious amount of fun, craic, and comedy. Doors are at 9.30pm and admission is €5.
