LIAM O’CALLAGHAN’S new exhibition, If and then....(again ) seeks to transform the ordinary into the extraordinary and encourage viewers to look anew at themselves and the world.
The exhibition, part of the Galway International Arts Festival, is running at the Galway Arts Centre, Dominick Street, until July 27.
O’Callaghan is a Dublin based artist specialising in multi-media pieces that explore the poetry of objects and the act of making, leading to a collision of sound and object and a sense of experience for both the artist and the audience. He sees the value in the everyday and explores this through sculpture, photography, video and sound. His work often exposes the methods or mechanics of their own construction.
