Brave Dolores Keane returns with new Irish concert tour

Singing star Dolores Keane is embarking on a comeback concert tour after battling cancer and alcoholism and courageously speaking on television about coming back from the brink, determined that the fans will experience her singing at its best.

The steely determination that has seen the Galway singer defeat the demons in her personal life has again fired her with enthusiasm for her upcoming live performances with a band of carefully hand-picked top musicians, with support from local folk star Don Stiffe.

The Galway native, who has given the world definitive renditions of songs such as Galway Bay, Caledonia, the Nelson Mandela tribute Lion in a Cage, Far Away in Australia, Ramblin’ Irishman, and Storm in My Heart, is more enthusiastic than ever about being back on stage.

The television documentary A Storm in My Heart was a massive success on RTE and now she is ready to start her comeback Irish tour of 11 dates, including an appearance at the Salthill Hotel on Sunday July 20 at 8pm.

Dolores says she is delighted to be working with promoter Kieran Cavanagh, with whom she has also worked in the past. “I think the world of Kieran and working with him as well as getting back on tour with a band of great musicians is almost like starting all afresh again,” she said.

According to Keane during her appearance on The Late Late Show, she is determined to give the fans her very best on this concert tour, and that she has been working with a vocal coach to ensure that her voice will be in pristine condition for singing her classic hits.
