Italian music at Galway Cathedral

THE TRIO sonatas of Italian composer Arcangelo Corelli will be heard at a concert in the Galway Cathedral this evening.

The concert, part of the Galway Cathedral Recitals series, will be given by flautist Joanne Cater, violinist Tom Murphy, and Cathedral organist Raymond O’Donnell. There will also be the Irish première of Valée Des Danses for organ by Dutch composer Ad Wammes.

The concert starts at 8pm. There will be wine and a ‘meet and greet’ with the musicians afterwards. The next concert is on Thursday July 17 with organist Gerard Gillen, playing music by Pachelbel, Guilment, and Stanford. For more information see recitals.galwaycathedral.ie
