JCI launches Friendly Business Awards 2014

Junior Chamber Galway has opened registrations for the third edition of the Friendly Business Awards 2014.

The Friendly Business Awards seek to recognise and celebrate businesses that go the “extra mile” by continuing to enhance the customer experience without compromising on customer service, despite the current difficult economic climate.

Entrants will be judged on the following criteria: customer care and friendliness, eco friendliness, shop layout and design, disability access, and digital media, which reflects the importance of user-friendliness of websites, and social media for customers.

To ensure the professionalism of the selection process, JCI Galway has the support from Galway based company Research It which specialises in market research dedicated to helping businesses gain a better insight into their customers’ needs, experiences and expectations.

Galwegians can nominate their favourite shop, café, bar or restaurant, or beauticians, DIY store, mechanic or hairdressers, that simply put a smile on their face every time you deal with them.

All businesses that have premises where customers can visit are welcome and encouraged to enter.

Entry is free and to nominate a business, e-mail [email protected] with details of the business and why it deserves special recognition as the friendliest business in Galway. Owners can also nominate themselves.

All participants will be invited to the awards ceremony on Thursday August 14 in Lynch’s Castle on Shop Street. The winner will compete in the national awards later on in the year.

Nominations close on Thursday July 31. Early nominations are sought in order to carry out the evaluation process in time for national entry. For more information please visit www.jcigalway.org or email [email protected].
