Health Care Informed appointed as advisor to the State of Qatar

Health Care Informed (HCI ), based in Galway and Dublin, international provider of patient safety and quality improvement support services, has been appointed as advisor to the Supreme Council of Health (SCH ), Qatar.

HCI will provide guidance to the SCH project team in the development of the National Healthcare Licensing and Accreditation System Development Project.

The State of Qatar is undergoing a major development of its health system, it has 41 major developments planned including the introduction of universal health insurance and national clinical care pathways. Over the next 24 months, the newly established body will come into operation and will have responsibility for the regulation of all health and social care services in Qatar. The guidance provided by HCI is based on international experience of regulatory systems in Ireland and Australia and work with the International Society for Quality and Safety in Healthcare (ISQua ).
