MNÁ MNÁ, the night showcasing female musicians, holds its third birthday celebrations in The Cellar Bar, Eglinton Street, tonight from 8pm.
Singer-songwriters Martina Flaherty, Grace Kiely, Eileen Keane, and Tracy Bruen, along with folk-band Rivers and Crows will be in concert.
Grace Kiely performs her songs, often with a dramatic flourish due, in no small part to her background in theatre. Her influences are Joni Mitchell, Tom Waits, Bob Dylan, and Ella Fitzgerald.
Indie folk singer Tracy Bruen is a founding member of Fregoli Theatre Company and a former member of My Fellow Sponges. She also hosts the Open Mic night in the Róisín Dubh.
Loughrea’s Martina Flaherty writes soulful and melodic blues/jazz style music. She is currently working on a new album. Rivers and Crows are a Galway based folk collective founded by Emma Lohan and Stephanie Swanton. Connemara singer-songwriter Eileen Keane recently released an EP entitled Spaces.
