Blue Teapot launches Fund it campaign for new show

iD, A new theatre piece conceived by the actors of the Blue Teapot Theatre Company, will premiere at the Galway Arts Festival in July.

The title iD, refers to identity and identification, as well as being an acronym for intellectual disability, and those who devised the show are actors with intellectual disability. It will be directed by Scott Williams, who runs acting conservatoires in London and Paris.

In order to support the production, Blue Teapot has launched a Fund It campaign to raise €12,000 in 21 days, or all funding is returned.

“Fund It has been hugely successful for us in the past and is a necessary and integral part of seeing Blue Teapot works brought to the stage,” says Blue Teapot director Petal Pilley.

Rewards for the campaign start from €10. For the high level funder (€1,000 ) Blue Teapot has offered the reward of partnering with one of the actors. The reward connects the funder to one of the nine actors in a sponsorship capacity with personal updates sent by the actor over the next 12 months.
