A TREAT is in store for lovers of reggae and soul both tomorrow and Saturday.
DJs Dave Barry (under his old alias Jahbuzzz ) & Will Softly will be taking to the stage tomorrow at 8pm in Club Oa2, Arus Na Gael, Dominic Street, to play reggae and ska 45s, ahead of Kathryn Crowley and Galway reggae legend Cian Finn. Admission is free before 10.30pm and €4 afterwards.
This will be followed on Saturday by Dave’s monthly Shuffle! night at the Róisín Dubh. Shuffle! takes place from 11.30pm, up stairs for this month only, where Dave will spin the very best in northern soul, party funk, soulful disco, stompin' reggae, 60s R&B, barrio boogaloo and the very best in black American music in general. Admission is free.
Finish off the weekend in soulful bliss with the ultimate hangover session at Sunday Service vinyl session in Massimo Bar on William street from 1-3pm. Laid back jazz, funk, reggae and soul with great food served by the EAT kitchens.
