VINTAGE CARTOONS and animations will be shown at the Galway City Museum in a special family event taking place this Saturday.
The Super 8mm Film Festival will be screening the cartoons and silent films, dating from between the 1950s and the 1980s - via a Super8 film projector - from 11am to 12 noon and from 3pm to 4pm.
From 1pm to 2pm, there will also be a free film-making workshop for children using film scratching and experimental drawings with markers on 8mm film. The produced animations will also be exhibited at the ‘Leisureland Kidisco’ on Sunday.
