“THE MINERAL album is really beautiful... it reminds of Screamadelica.” So said Alan McGee whose Creation label released the Primal Scream classic in 1991.
Mineral are an Irish/French band, led by former Power Of Dreams/Archive mainman Craig Walker, whose album Plastic Ekphrastic was released on McGee’s new label 359 Music. The band are about to release a new single, ‘1989’ on Friday March 28 and they play the Róisín Dubh on Saturday 29.
The band members - Craig Walker, Thierry Fournié, Sophie Armelle and Damien Li - hail from Paris and Dublin, and their indietronica sound is inspired by Talking Heads, Pixies, Syd Barrett, Kraftwerk, Serge Gainsbourg, The Beach Boys, and Béla Bartók.
