Community and residents associations in Galway city have until the end of April to apply for the 2014 amenity grants from the Galway City Council.
The scale of these grants varies from €150 to €350, depending on the number of houses in each estate. Estates with more than 150 houses will qualify for the maximum grant.
Labour’s Galway City Central candidate John McDonagh is encouraging such organisations to apply for the funds. “Amenity grants are a source of income for residents associations and encourage community involvement in enhancing their local environment,” he said.
The closing date for receipt of applications is Friday April 25 at 4pm. For further information e-mail [email protected].
