THE YEARS, a collection of poetry by the late philosopher and academic Tom Duddy, is to be launched in Galway city this month.
Mr Duddy was a lecturer at NUI Galway, working in the Department of Philosophy from 1979 until he became ill in 2011. He was also a keen poet. His debut collection, The Hiding Place was published by Arlen House in 2011, and was shortlisted for the Aldeburgh First Collection Prize and the Seamus Heaney Centre Prize for Poetry. Mr Duddy died in June 2012, while compiling his second book of poems.
The Years, published by HappenStance Press, and will be launched by publisher Helena Nelson in The Harbour Hotel on Wednesday March 26 at 7pm. All are welcome to the launch.
