Pernet set up at function in Menlo Park

A limited company set up to facilitate family workshops, youth work and enterprise and community developments, was launched in the city recently.

Pernet Ltd is the brainchild of Sr Imelda O’Sullivan of Galway’s Little Sisters of the Assumption.

She set up the initiative with the help of her board of directors and solicitor Clodagh Gallagher who worked tirelessly to obtain charitable status for it.

The groupings facilitate adult education, empowerment, family support and spirituality.

During the function, a booklet was launched called Pernet Spirituality for Lay people. This was written by Marian Meade and her sister Honora who created what has been described as a “wonderful overview” of the spirituality of the Little Sisters.

Sr Imelda says she is “deeply indebted” to them as well as to Conleth Cunnane who did the final editing and Hanno Conring who looked after the photographic content.

“Thanks also to Sharon at I-Supply who was so helpful in advising on layout and production. Thanks to the work of the lay friends and associates of the Little Sisters a framework could be put in place for the message of the Sisters to continue to be made known in a practical way in the society of today.”be made known in a practical way in the society of today,” she said.
