Moycullen Hurling Club will host its first fun run/walk on Saturday December 7.
The run/walk will start at 12 noon following on-the-day registration from 11am at the hurling club’s headquarters.
The race will begin on the road adjacent to Moycullen GAA Grounds and it is hoped the event will raise much needed funds for the club and for Galway hospice.
“The race is open to everyone from strollers to experienced runners. We are hoping to get everyone out walking or running before Christmas,” says coordinator Brid Noone.
Adult and family registration is €15 with u-16 registration set at €5. Soup and refreshments will be served after the race, with a water station at the 2.5km mark on the race route. Registration is available on Runireland.com or on the day at the clubhouse.
