One of Ireland’s leading cartoonists Tom Mathews will launch the Charlie Byrne’s Bookshop 2014 calendar, in the bookshop tomorrow at 6pm.
The calendar will feature photos of the bookshop over the years in its various locations. The shop originally began as a market stall in Munster Avenue in 1989, before moving to Dominick Street, and later to Middle Street, before moving to its current location in the Cornstore Mall. The calendar also celebrates the bookshop’s upcoming 25th anniversary.
Refreshments will be served at the launch and all are welcome. All proceeds from the calendar will benefit the Galway Hospice: find out more about the work they do at www.galwayhospice.ie
