•St Michael’s GAA Club is hosting a Halloween camp from Wednesday October 30 to Friday November 1 for children aged between eight and 12. The camp will run from 10am to 1pm each day and members of the St Michael’s senior team will be on hand to coach the children. The cost of the three-day camp is €15. •Galway native Nicola Duncan of Taylor’s Hill, who is now based in Edinburgh, ran a European Championship Marathon qualifying time on Sunday in the Amsterdam Marathon. She ran a phenomenal time of 2 hrs 36 minutes and 44 seconds, which is well within the standard for the championships in Zurich of 2hrs 38. Duncan now runs out of the Portobello club in Edinburgh and improved her personal best by more than 13 minutes. Her time is the fastest by an Irish woman this year.
