Comedy festival shows @ The King’s Head

PHILL JUPITUS, stars from Fr Ted, rising star Colm O’Regan, and the screening of a comedy documentary take place in The King’s Head for the Galway Comedy Festival.

On Thursday October 24 at 8pm, Joe Rooney (who played the loutish Fr Damo ), Michael Redmond (the mindless bore Fr Stone ), and Patrick McDonnell (country and Irish idol Eoin McLove ) flex their comedy muscles on The King’s Head Main Stage.

The action moves to The Ruby Room for the next three days for a series of lunchtime shows starting at 1pm.

On Friday 25 Phill Jupitus presents his award winning show, You’re Probably Wondering Why I’ve Asked You Here. On Saturday 26 Colm O’Regan will perform his new show Ireland’s Got Mammies 2, looking at that special bond the Irish have with their mothers.

On Sunday 27 there will be the screening of the documentary The Bitter Buddah which follows the trials and tribulations of cult US comic Eddie Pepitone. Eddie will attend and hold a Q&A session after.

Tickets for the above shows are available through www.bulmersgalwa ycomedyfestival.com, and the festival box office in the Róisín Dubh (open 12 noon to 7pm ), and from The King’s Head.
