James O’Donnell of Bikefit.ie has teamed up with Deirdre O’Toole of Yoga Ripples to offer yoga at the gym in Drom, home of Salthill Devon Football Club in Galway.
Do you want to improve you physical performance and mental focus in your chosen sport? Have you poor flexibility, weak core, tight hamstrings and shoulders, or lower back problems? Are you waiting for your child in Drom car park, or simply looking for time out for you? If so this may be the yoga class for you.
Hatha yoga is a slow, relaxing, deep yoga that stretches, tones, and strengthens your whole body, while rejuvenating your system and improving your breathing. Classes are refreshing, gentle, and therapeutic.
Heated Vinyasa Flow is a fast paced yoga class that moves with the breath, toning the body, making it flexible and strong, while calming the mind and improving breathing. Classes are dynamic, active, and challenging.
The classes are suitable for cyclists, runners, people who play football, hurling, soccer, or rugby, and swimmers — athletic and non-athletic type sports, and the general public.
Class sizes will avoid overcrowding. There is ample parking, toilets, and showers.
Deirdre O’Toole is a registered yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance since 2011, and has been practising yoga for more than 10 years. She completed a 200-hour yoga teacher training with Green Lotus Yoga and a further 400-hour yoga intensive with Prana Vashya Yoga Mysore India.
