TOY SOLDIER have been described as “your favourite club night with Nine Inch Nails and Blondie mashing it up on the decks”.
If that sounds like your thing, then make sure to check out the trio when they play Monroe’s Live tonight at 11pm. Since their formation and initial gigging around Cork a few years ago, the band’s Goth/pop/electro sound has gone on to win praise from BBC DJs like Tom Robinson; be called “one of Ireland’s hottest bands” by Hot Press; play Electric Picnic; and have their track ‘Animal’ chosen as Munster Rugby’s entrance song.
They also received ‘Sexiest Video’ nomination at the IMTV awards and released their debut album Calling Up The Dusk this year.
Support is from Razz. Tickets are €5 and available on the door or through www.monroes.ie and 091 - 583397.
