Niall Cunningham returns to Galway auto trade

Niall Cunningham, the former co-owner of Cunningham Higgins (with Joe Higgins ) in Ballybrit, has returned to the auto trade in Galway.

He has recently opened a new business called Cunningham Autopoint, based in a modern facility at Carnmore Road in Oranmore.

Mr Cunningham has been working recently with the Joe Duffy Motor Group in Dublin where he held a senior position in its retail Porsche Centre.

Cunningham Autopoint's business includes the sales of nearly new and pre-owned cars, as well as aftersales services at its modern premises.

Executive car options

Connolly Group's Audi Galway opening in Ballybrit in the past year, as well as the announcement last month that Colm Quinn BMW (Athlone ) will open a new dealership in the city, is a big boost for access to executive cars in the region.

Galway also has other executive marques represented, including Lexus Galway (part of Tony Burke Motors ), and Bradley Motor Works is a main dealership for Jaguar and Land Rover (incl Range Rover ). Western Motors in Ballybrit is also an aftersales dealer for Mercedes-Benz cars, while MotorPark Galway is an aftersales dealer for BMW (and Mini ).
