The Bulmers Galway Comedy Festival is very proud to present its biggest and best programme in its eight year history.
The headliners were announced at a special party at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this month with top comedy names in attendance to show their support including Jason Byrne, Phill Jupitus, and Stewart Lee.
The full programe will be announced in mid-September. Galway city will become the number one comedy destination, for one action-packed week of shows over the October Bank Holiday weekend, from Tuesday October 22 to Monday October 28.
The 2013 programme includes some of the top stand-up talent around, including Sean Lock, Lee Mack, Kevin Bridges, Russell Howard, David O'Doherty, Stewart Lee, Jason Byrne, Phill Jupitus, and Andrew Maxwell.
Back by popular demand are the hit shows from last year; Set List and The Faulty Towers Dining Experience.
The extended line-up boasts new names as well as some repeat performers from previous years such as Terry Alderton, Neil Delamere, Eddie Pepitone, Stephen Frost, Glenn Wool, Barry Murphy, Eddie Brill, Tony Law, Colin Murphy, Abandoman, Lady Carol, Maeve Higgins, Phil Nichol, Pappys, Karl Spain, Jarlath Regan, Chris Kent, Paul Currie, Eric Lalor, and Eleanor Tiernan, with many more yet to be announced.

Over the past year, organisers have searched the globe, identifying and persuading the cream of comedy to make Galway city their home base for seven laughter-filled nights of comedy action.
As if the Bulmers Galway Comedy Festival was not enough reason to come to Galway for the October weekend, there are also a number of other exciting events happening during the festival. Scottish alternative rockers Primal Scream will play Leisureland on Saturday October 26, followed by the stand out live festival act of 2013, Chic with Nile Rodgers, who will play the Radisson Ballroom on Sunday October 27. These two events are scheduled not to clash with any of the Comedy Festival acts, giving festival goers plenty of time to get from the comedy gigs around the city to catch the live bands on stage.
This stellar list ensures that Galway is the single unmissable comedy destination this October. Some shows are now on sale at GalwayComedyFestival.com, with the full line-up revealed on Wednesday September 11. There are tickets now available for Sean Lock at The Black Box Theatre on October 27, Stewart Lee at the Roisin Dubh on October 22 and 23, David O’Doherty on October 27, and Faulty Towers: The Dining Experience on October 25, 26, and 27. Tickets for the remaining shows will go on sale on Friday September 13 at 9am.
Speaking on the lineup, the Guardian called it “a selection of only the very best” while The Irish Times branded the festival “an inspired selection of comedy brilliance.”
