The Kinvara campervan park is due to get a much awaited upgrade after the owners have been granted planning permission for a new wastewater system.
Welcoming the news Senator Lorraine Higgins said this week that a new and enlarged caravan park in Kinvara will help to expand the area’s tourist potential and end local residents’ concerns over illegal parking in the town.
“Camping holidays are becoming more and more popular, especially for families, and I feel that Kinvara will now benefit greatly from this news.
“This news will go some way towards addressing residents concerns about campervans parking in the town, particularly during the town’s two festival weekends, Fleadh na gCuach in May and Cruinniu na mBád in August.”
Senator Higgins said: “The upgrade of the existing park provides the solution to the problem as this will prevent illegal parking in the town’s main streets and along by the pier at night-time.”
