The Connacht Hotel welcomes executive head chef

The Connacht Hotel Galway (formerly the Carlton hotel Galway city ) are delighted to announce that Regis Herviaux has been appointed as Executive Head Chef.

Mr Herviaux from Britanny and holds a wealth of culinary knowledge; voted best head chef in Galway by the Restaurant Associations of Ireland in 2010 and 2012. He has worked at some of the leading eateries in the West of Ireland some of which include The G Hotel, Cashel House Hotel, Gregans Castle and Ashford Castle. The Connacht Hotel which is the largest hotel in the west of Ireland is delighted to have such an asset on board.

Speaking on behalf of The Connacht Hotel, Shay Livingstone, General Manager said: “We are thrilled to have Regis join our team of professional and highly rated staff, his experience and vision for the hotel will compliment the recent changes that the hotel has undergone and the investment that has been made into the hotel to ensure its continued success.”

The Connacht Hotel recently rebranded from the Carlton Hotel, as part of this rebrand the hotel has renovated a wing of bedrooms while adding a cocktail bar and lounge to its offering. The hotel has been running since 1969 and is located on the Dublin Road in Renmore as you enter Galway city.
