Bluegrass bands @ Monroe’s Live

BLUEGRASS MUSIC will be heard this Sunday in Monroe’s Live when The Paperboys and The Blind Dead McJones Band take to the stage.

The award-winning Canadian eight-piece The Paperboys mix Cajun, bluegrass, Mexican, African, reggae, and Celtic music. Formed in Vancouver by Mexican-born Tom Landa, The Paperboys have released seven albums, recorded movie scores, and received rave reviews from critics. Check out their Juno Award winning album Molinos.

The Blind Dead McJones Band from Leeds, England, are currently nominated for best Original Song at the 2013 British Blues Awards. The band fuse traditional blues and bluegrass with a youthful energy and quirky sense of humour.
