Kevin McAleer @ Róisín Dubh

SINCE HIS appearances on Nighthawks in the early 1990s, Kevin McAleer has enjoyed the status of a founding father of modern Irish stand-up and a a much loved comic.

The Tyrone man makes a welcome return to Galway to play the Róisín Dubh this Saturday at 8.30pm. He has influenced and inspired a whole generation of comedians in Ireland and Britain, from Stewart Lee to David O’Doherty.

Support on the night comes from another legend of Irish comedy, Barry Murphy, along with Sean Nolan. The event will be followed by the Silent Disco from 11.30pm.
