Galway ran rampant over neighbours Clare as they continued their league campaign with a 3-20 to 0-4 win in perfect conditions in Pearse Stadium on Sunday.
From the throw-in the Galway ladies were on top, particularly in midfield where Emma Curley and Annette Clarke were full of running.
The Clare ladies could not cope and were behind at the break by 1-09 to 0-4.
Galway continued to dominate proceedings in the second half despite making several changes.
With Kerry and Westmeath drawing their match and Kildare just getting past Fermanagh, it is now a four-way tie at the top of division two with everything to play for.
