Inject a little colour into your life this season by making a fashion statement with your nails. Max Factor has launched 18 new mini nail Polish shades inspired by the spring/summer catwalks.
This polished palette will allow you to embrace your inner chameleon creating unlimited nail looks each day of the week.
These latest additions come in four colour families, each inspired by the SS12 colours from each of the fashion week capitals and the mood of their neighbourhood districts: Brooklyn (New York ); Dalston (London ); via Tortona (Milan ) and Marais (Paris ).
Brooklyn, the fashionistas’ favourite, are pastels with an urban edge; Dalston is cool and colour clashing, via Tortona unleashes high octane metallic super-glamour and Marais embraces the classics with a chic Parisian twist.
Mix and match the different city colours, glosses and shimmers to create something individual. Reverse half-moons; stripes; leopard print and polka dotted nails are all bang on trend. You can also set your own trends by creating looks that sass up your daily style.
Pat McGrath, Max Factor Global Creative Design Director, says nails are one of the hottest accessories for the season.
“With a range of shades at your fingertips you can mix, match or clash your nail look to make a daily statement.”
The flashes of bold, bright shades work well in contrast to a pop of colour across the eyes or lips. There are also pretty pastels perfectly in tune with the feminine mood from the runways and striking glittery metallic shades that echo the trend of vintage glamour with a contemporary twist.
And if you want to create perfect polka dot nails? Max Factor’s top tip is to paint one shade all over the nail and select a contrasting colour for the dots. Use a toothpick to create the spots by dipping it into the polish
