A new public relations company has been set up in Galway dedicated soley to the promotion of Irish food.
Food PR and Marketing has been set up by PR guru Olivia Collins who founded Galway-based Those Two Girls PR in 2004 and it will operate as its sister company.
Olivia Collins says there was a need to create a niche agency providing PR and marketing services to food-related businesses - big and small.
“Ireland has developed a plethora of amazing artisan producers and their marketing efforts are not up to scratch. Food can be such a visual experience that the world on online cannot be ignored.
“Our clients are producers, they focus on quality and produce evolution, we take care of the marketing. We work with experts in design, branding and writing for web.”
Collins says Food PR and Marketing is unique to the Irish market by being “niche and specialised”.
She has worked with Aniar Restaurant, Eat Gastropub, Il Vicolo, Source Sligo, Haragdons, Salamanca and the Artisan Pizza Company.
