A felt-making workshop for adults, inspired by the paintings of Jack B Yeats, takes place at the Galway City Museum this Saturday from 11am to 12.30pm.
Jack B Yeats was one of the foremost and influential Irish artists of the 20th century. An exhibition of his drawings, water-colours, and oil paintings is on display at the museum until the end of March, and features several notable works including An Island Funeral (1923 ) and Communicating With Prisoners (1924 ).
Artist Sinéad McKiernan will lead the workshop. Admission is free and all materials are included. Places are limited and must be booked in advance by calling the museum on 091 - 532460 or by emailing [email protected]
