Spiddal publishers Futa Fata scoops Web Award

Finalists in the Best eCommerce and the Best Irish websites categories, Futa Fata, has scooped the award for Best Irish website at the Web Awards 2012.

The ceremony was held in Dublin’s Mansion House where site creators, Modus, accepted the award on behalf of Futa Fata, the publishing company based in Spiddal, Co Galway.

There were seven finalists in the category including tg4.ie, gleg.ie, mileata.ie, foinse.ie, oideachas.gaelsceal.ie, star-ts.com/ga and of course futafata.ie The award was sponsored by Gaelport.

Futa Fata’s Tadhg Mac Dhonnagáin is thrilled to have won the award and to have been a finalist in two categories.

Modus, which has offices in Dublin and in Laois had three websites designed by them nominated in this years awards.

Futa Fata publishes books for children. In recent weeks the company has published two new picture books, while currently in the works are a new toddlers’ board book series and a series for beginner readers that features a feisty pirate.
