A Galway based firm has become the first stocktaking company in Ireland to achieve the internationally recognised International Organisation for Standardisation (IS0 ) 9001:2008 quality management system certification.
Stocktaking specialists Stocktaking.ie achieved the standard following a detailed process review by Business Quality Assurance International (BQAI ) a prestigious certification auditor.
Established in 2004, Stocktaking.ie employs four full time staff and 75 part time staff working from their head offices in Claregalway Corporate Park. The company plans to double their workforce next year as they expand their operations in Ireland, adding the pharmacy, hardware and agri business sectors to their client portfolio. The company is also actively seeking UK partners to accelerate the opening of a UK base in 2014. Stocktaking.ie’s managing director Patrick McDermott believes that independent certification to internationally accepted quality management systems standard will be adopted by more Irish companies as a way of demonstrating their ability to deliver a measurably higher quality and more defensible work product to clients.
