Elton John’s ‘Tiny Dancer’ has been recorded by a host of leading Irish singers as a charity single to raise funds for a seriously ill Galway girl.
The single, which will be launched in the Meyrick Hotel, Eyre Square, on Saturday November 17 at 9pm, is for Lily Mae Morrison, who is fighting neuroblastoma, a rare childhood cancer. The four-year-old is the daughter of Judith Sibley and Leighton Morrison of Galway dance companies Chrysalis and Youth Ballet West.
Among those featured on the new single are singer-songwriters Declan O’Rourke, Paddy Casey, Mundy, John Spillane, and Mickey Harte, singers Camille O’Sullivan, Mary Black, trad/world music band Kila, veteran indie band The Pale, and Athenry vocalist/composer Julie Feeney.
