SHADOWS OF The Dead, the second novel from Galway author Yvonne McEvaddy, has just been published, and she will be reading from it in Java’s, Abbeygate Street, this month.
Yvonne will be reading excerpts from Shadows Of The Dead upstairs in Java’s at 8.30pm on Tuesday October 23 and Tuesday 30. For those who turn up in fancy dress on the 30th, there will be a prize of a free copy of the new novel for the scariest costume.
Alice and Mark O’Brien do not believe in ghosts. Seeking to buy a house, they fall in love with Hawthorn Grange and are not put off by rumours that it is haunted.
With Mark working nights, Alice is alone with the sounds of an old house, neighbours whispering around her, the stories of the shadows arising from the graves. Yet there are no such thing as ghosts, they cannot actually be real, they cannot actually be at the foot of her bed...?
Shadows Of The Dead is available from Amazon.com in both paperback and eBook forms, as well as from Charlie Byrne’s, Kenny’s Bookstore, Ballybane Discount Newsagents, Londis in Mervue, Monaghan’s Centra on the Tuam Road and in Headford, Centra in Claregalway, Joyce’s of Headford, Keady’s in Headford, and Cons Checkout, Caherlistrane, and Tuam Bookshop.
