On Thursday October 18 Hotel Meyrick will host a wedding showcase like no other. The event, aptly titled ‘An Evening of Timeless Elegance’ will give intending brides and brooms a real insight into what their fantasy wedding can be like with elegant surroundings in a hotel renowned for its quality and service, as it celebrates 160 years of exquisite service for its clients, in the heart of Galway.
An Evening of Timeless Elegance will commence at 6.30pm, bringing the ideas of a couple’s wedding to life with a live catwalk showcase of fabulous designer gowns from non other than the genius who dressed Aoife Cogan earlier this year, Myrtle Ivory. Featuring gowns from internationally acclaimed bridal gown designer Patrick Casey, the live catwalk will be hosted by Style Fashionista, Marietta Doran.
Guests will be invited for a drinks and canapés reception in the luxurious Connemara Suite, which will give a taste for romance and enchantment experienced at a wedding hosted in Hotel Meyrick. Pianist Sean DeBurca will set the tone of the evening playing beautiful classical notes prior to the commencement of the live catwalk show at 8pm.

The dedicated kitchen team of The Oyster Grill Restaurant will then take guests through the specially designed Hotel Meyrick wedding menus. Guests will have the rare chance to learn about what meals complement each other, gain an insight into how the meals are chosen and prepared for each menu and have the opportunity the indulge in the samples of the fine dining, freshly prepared especially for the occasion.
Bobbi Brown make-up artists will provide guests with a make-up tutorial from where they will see how that perfect bridal look is created. An up-style hair demonstration will then be conducted by professional hairstylists from Bellisimo.
A showcase of collections by renowned Irish fashion and jewellery designers will also take place on the evening, including pieces from Christina Brosnan and Dawn FitzGerald, offering glimpses into fashion and accessories for bridal parties and wedding guests.
