WATERFORD ELECTRO-POP band Solar Taxi release their debut album, Broken Brother’s Secret Bells, tomorrow, and they play The Factory, Abbeygate Street, tonight.
Solar Taxi - Aisling Browne (vocals ), Peter Vogelaar (bass ), James O’Halloran (guitar ) John Foley (drums ), and Keith Adams (keyboards ) - last week released the single ‘Gung Ho’, which has already been featured on MTV teen comedy Awkward. The band has also supported 50 Cent, The Faithless Sound System, and Roxette in the O2 Arena.
Hotpress said: “Solar Taxi cut a fine line between uptown Brooklyn electro funk and downtown scuzz rock. And they do it very effectively indeed.” The Sun praised vocalist Aisling Browne as having the “astounding vocal power of a young Aretha Franklin”.
