A guided beach wildlife walk will take place on Grattan Road beach, Salthill, this Saturday at 3.30pm and it is aimed at both adults and children.
The walk is being hosted by the Galway branch of the Irish Wildlife Trust and Galway Atlantaquaria.
The walk begins at the lifeguard’s hut and will take a look at the animals and plants commonly found in all the habitats around the seashore. Nets and buckets will be provided to help participants explore the rockpools, and staff will bring a small selection of sea life from the aquarium down to the beach.
