See culinary master Harridine at work at Anthony Ryan’s Homestore

Are you a first time student who is wearied by your over reliance on the fast food outlets? Do you struggle when differentiating sauté from your sorbet? Well then guest appearance from celebrity chef Malcolm Harridine is an occasion you won’t want to miss. Cora Casserly from the marketing department at Anthony Ryan’s revealed that Mr Harridine has held cookery demonstrations in the past and is confident that the same atmosphere will be evident this time around.

“We’ve had him a few times before and he’s been well received by the public. He has a regular slot on the QBC cooking channel so he’s an experienced chef with a lot to offer to the people of Galway.” The accomplished culinary expert will be preparing meals from his distinguished repertoire at Anthony Ryan’s Homestore on Saturday September 15 from 10am - 4pm.

Mr Harridine will be treating the audience to recipes for cheese soufflé, pan fried chicken stuffed chicken breasts wrapped in prosciutto ham with a white wine sauce, mushroom and pea risotto, and sweet and sour stir fried pork. For those with a sweet tooth the chef will be detailing the method for making Treacle Tart so all palate types will be catered for. Observers of his work will also be treated to sample tasting of his meal compositions in addition to copies of his recipes and discount offers from Stllar and Harwoods.

Ms Casserly is urging all who are in the Galway vicinity on Saturday to come down and watch a master at work. “Everyone is welcome to come along. His meals can be sampled on the day and I would expect a good turnout, he’s an excellent chef.”

He will prepare the meals using a batch of specific equipment and utensils which will be retailing on the day for those ambitious enough to attempt to replicate the meals at home. These specific cooking tools are always available to purchase online at www.shopcookaware.ie

This exhibition of culinary excellence will be of immeasurable assistance for anyone who has an aversion to cooking or is just curious to expand their cooking knowledge.
