“PERHAPS HER standout instrument is her voice, which sweeps along displaying folk and jazz nuances with the confidence of one who knows.”

So declared Horslips drummer and music journalist Eamon Carr, about Sive, the band led by singer-songwriter Sadhbh O’Sullivan, who play Monroe’s Live Backstage Bar on Monday August 26 at 9.30pm.

Sive’s debut album We Are Moving was released in April and can be downloaded from her official website: www.sivemusic.com It has enjoyed critical praise with Golden Plec’s Justin McDaid saying:

“It is this originality and willingness to experiment with sound that raises We Are Moving above most other releases from recent times. We Are Moving is an album that reveals itself gradually, full of innovation and attention to detail, and what’s going on underneath the vocals is always interesting.”
