There will be a night of traditional music and entertainment in the Western Hotel this Saturday at 9.30pm, to raise much funds for Talamarang Orphanage in Nepal.
The Talamarang Orphanage was founded by Melanie Hennessy who has since set up the NUI Galway Draíocht Society to raise funds for the orphanage. In 2010 Melanie won the JCI most outstanding person in the world for Humanitarian Aid and Volunteer Leadership.
Each year a group of students from NUI Galway go to the orphanage to support the now established local team on the ground.
The night of music and entertainment will be full of local acts including music, song and dance. Entry is €5 and tickets can be purchased on the door. For more information call 091 - 494324.
